Puppy Training

The program is 3 one and a half training sessions, 2 to 3 weeks apart. 

I EVALUATE YOUR PUPPY FOR POTENTIAL FUTURE BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES, SUCH AS AGGRESSION, AND ANXIETY. 

We are able to cover all basics customized to your puppy. No client requests more.  

Total cost is ONLY $425.

BEING POLITE

We will work on jumping and biting. Both behaviors are quite undesirable and can be eliminated with a consistent approach in a short period of time. We usually address these behaviors first.

FOUNDATION SKILLS

I will provide training plans for COME, SIT, DOWN, LEAVE IT, and STAY and will show how they can be accomplished. Every puppy should master these behaviors. We will make sure that anybody in the family can give the puppy these cues.

GOING INTO PUBLIC

It is essential to teach your puppy how to function in public. We will teach the puppy to walk on a leash and meet people politely. We will find many distractions in busy public parks.

SOCIALIZATION

I will explain the process of socialization and how to ensure your puppy is accustomed to different environments, situations, weather conditions, triggers, other puppies, and adult dogs. It is more complicated then it looks.

NO SHOCK OR PRONG

I never use prong collars or shock collars in puppy training. I am a trainer who uses positive reinforcement without being permissive. Corrections do not have to be harsh. They just need to be consequential. Most of the dogs want to please us and simply do not understand what you do not like. It is a matter of clear communication.

What to expect during the session?

I will observe your puppy for a short period and will set the priorities. Every puppy is different. I will then explain why we are doing specific exercises and will show you how with your puppy. You will then practice in front of me. Before I leave, I email you custom notes from the training sessions so there will be no unanswered questions

Most of my clients are finished in 3 sessions. I recommend you start with that. Each session may last up to 1.5 hours, but it all depends on the energy of the dog. We meet every 2-3 weeks. I leave enough homework to last this long. For those who are sure they need extra help - I do offer a 5-session package.

At least in the beginning, it is best to have working sessions in your home. This will enable me to observe your dogs in their daily “habitat.” When needed, we will go to different high traffic areas to practice around other dogs and people.

It is best to incorporate all family members. This way, everyone is on the same page. I also work with children older than five years of age.

I provide longer lasting results and do Behavior Modification with the puppy if needed. I will alert you if I see signs of aggression or anxiety and will advise how to proceed. My program is beyond basic sits and downs.

As young as 8 weeks of age or 1 week after the puppy comes home.

  • The cost of 3 (three) 1.5-hour sessions is ONLY $370 (after 15% COVID relief discount from $435 through 12/31/20). No client requests more.

  • As of January 29 2018, there will be no refund if the client decides to re-home or return the dog after the first session takes place. The client may keep remaining sessions and apply them towards a new dog, still following expiration policy of 6 months from the date of purchase.
  • If you are unhappy with our services, you have up to 24 hours from the time of the first session to ask for a refund of the remaining sessions minus $30 processing fees. It will take up to 10 calendar days to refund your card or date your refund check from the time of your request. After 25 hours, all fees are non-refundable.
  • If you purchase a package and cancel before the first session takes place, a refund will be issued minus $30 processing fee.

  • If you schedule an appointment and need to cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours prior to the session, you will be fully charged for that session.
  • Package expires after 6 months, and unused sessions will be forfeited.
